Following a deadly assault outside a Domino’s Pizza, Thursday, December 7, Manchester, NH Police have issued a warrant for Akim Alleyne, 33, of Manchester, NH.
Thursday afternoon Manchester Police responded to 212 Lowell Street for a report of a fight and upon arrival officers located Te-Jay Thomas, 46, of Manchester unconscious on the sidewalk.
Te-Jay Thomas, Manchester Police said was taken to Elliot Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella on Friday said an autopsy was completed Friday on Te-Jay Thomas by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg and that Dr. Weinberg concluded that the cause of Te-Jay Thomas’ death was blunt force trauma to the head and neck, and that the manner of his death was homicide.
According to witnesses Thomas was arguing with another man near the Domino’s and during that argument the man knocked Te-Jay Thoma down and assaulted him on the sidewalk.
As witnesses called Manchester Police, the suspect walked away. But witnesses say he returned briefly before leaving again.
Manchester Police were able to identify Akim Alleyne as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest for Manslaughter – Reckless.
Alleyne is currently on probation, Manchester Police said for a burglary that occurred in June.
Attorney General Formella said Central High School in Manchester which is about two minutes from 212 Lowell Street, as a precautionary measure instituted a stay-in-place.
