The New England Patriots were in Miami to take on the AFC East rival Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon. This was the second time these two teams met, with the Dolphins coming out on top On Sunday Night Football.
After a Kyle Duggar interception, Patriots quarterback Mac Jones threw a 24-yard touchdown to wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead with 3:32 left on the first quarter. The drive took three plays and just 49 seconds.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns and Jason Sanders kicked a 30 yard field goal with 26 seconds left in the half to give the Dolphins a 17-7 lead at halftime.
The Patriots would keep it close up until the final three minutes of the game. Tua threw his third touchdown of the game to Jaylen Waddle to put the game away in a 31-17 final.
New England will head back home to take on the Washington Commanders next Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
