The WNBA announced on Sunday that New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart, Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas and Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson have been unanimously selected to the 2023 All-WNBA First Team.

Voting for the All-WNBA Teams was conducted at the conclusion of the regular season and joining Stewart, Thomas and Wilson (300 points each) on the 2023 All-WNBA First Team are Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier (236 points) and Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally (186).

Stewart, Thomas and Wilson finished first, second and third, respectively, in the voting for the 2023 Kia WNBA Most Valuable Player Award, and were named to the All-WNBA First Team on all 60 ballots in voting by a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

WNBA veteran Alyssa Thomas, who had a stellar 2023 season with the Connecticut Sun made the All-WNBA First Team honor for the first time in her career. In 2022, Thomas was named All-WNBA Second Team.

In the 2023 season, Thomas was also named a WNBA All-Star, WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month (June), WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week (3x), Associated Press Player of the Week (3x), WNBA All-Defensive First Team and Associated Press All League First Team throughout 2023.

Alyssa Thomas finished the regular season leading the league in rebounds per game (9.9), second in assists per game (7.9) and third in steals per game (1.8). Thomas also finished second overall in the WNBA Most Valuable Player race (439), receiving the most first-place votes (23).

Also in the 2023 season, Thomas became the WNBA’s all-time leader in regular season triple-doubles (8), and moved into first all-time in rebounds, assists, games played, and free-throws made in franchise history. She also set a new WNBA single-season record for assists (316) and double-doubles (28), becoming the first player in WNBA history to record 600+ points, 300+ rebounds and 300+ assists in one season.
