Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group Deployment Extension

Aboard the USS Thomas Hudner, a guided missile destroyer, Sailors have been conducting strike scenarios in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Thomas Hudner is part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group currently operating in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, and on Tuesday, Defense Secretary Austin approved a deployment extension for the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/Sixth Fleet Area of Operations.
The strike group was nearing the end of its six-month deployment to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility.
