The New England Patriots fall to 0-2 after losing to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football.

The Patriots never held a lead in this game as they are now 2-5 since 2020 versus the Dolphins.

Miami kicker Jason Sanders got the first and only first quarter score on the board when he kicked a 23 yard field goal.

Raheem Mostert then extended the Dolphins lead when he rushed for a 8 yard touchdown to bring the score to 10-0.

New England’s rookie kicker Chad Ryland then had a field goal of his own to bring the score to 10-3.

Tyreek Hill then got on the board with a 2 yard receiving touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa. This gave the Dolphins a 17-3 lead.

Coming out of the half down 17-3  New England blocked a field goal part ways through the third quarter with an interesting strategy giving one of them a running start and not lining up to block the kick.

Hunter Henry then caught a six yard touchdown pass to bring the score within 7 in the fourth quarter.

Raheem Mostert then extended the lead back to 14 with a 43 yard rushing touchdown which was his second rushing touchdown on the day.

New England scored again from a Rhamondre Stevenson rushing touchdown but it was too little too late as Miami went on to win 24-17.

Mac Jones postgame said “it takes all eleven and it starts with me”

Next week New England will take all eleven on the road to take on the New York Jets in their first road game of the season as they look for their first win.
