Just after 1:30 AM, Thursday morning, New Hampshire State Police responded to the area of Exit 18 on the Spaulding Turnpike in Milton, New Hampshire, for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, Troopers located a White 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 that is believed to have been traveling the wrong way along the Exit 18 on-ramp towards the highway.
“The vehicle departed the roadway, continued down an embankment, and came to final rest within the woods, approximately 300 feet from the roadway,” said New Hampshire State Police. “The driver of the truck was identified as Michael Riley, 55, of Sanbornville, NH.”
New Hampshire confirmed that Riley was pronounced deceased on scene and said no passengers or other vehicles were involved.
“All aspects of the crash remain under investigation,” said New Hampshire State Police. “Although a medical emergency does appear to be a contributing factor to the crash.”
