Thursday night in Worcester the WooSox continued there final six-game homestand hosting the Syracuse Mets. The Sox for a second straight night were defeated by the Mets 8-5. 

Syracuse grabbed their first three runs at the top of the second, first with Jose Peroza hiting hitting his first homer  and driving in Lorenzo Cedrola, and then Jaylen Palmer hit a solo homer, his third homer of the season.

In the top of the sixth, Jose Peroza and Matt O’Neill both scored for Syracuse to put the Mets out front 5-0. 

Bottom of the seventh Worcester grabbed their first two runs of the game with both Niko Kavadas and Christian Koss scoring to make it a 5-2 game. 

top of the eighth Syracuse added three more runs with Wyatt Young, Brandon McIlwain and Jaylen Palmer scoring. 

Bradley Zimmer, Corey Rosier and David Hamilton each scored for Worcester in the bottom of the ninth to make it an 8-5 game.

The Sox and Mets series continues Friday night at Polar Park with the first pitch scheduled for 6:45 PM.
