Tuesday morning the Boston Red Sox announced that right-handed pitcher Garrett Whitlock is being placed on the 15-Day Injured List (retroactive to July 3) with right elbow inflammation.
James Paxton is on the Paternity Leave List.
Both Brandon Walter and Tayler Scott have been recalled from Triple-A Worcester.
