The Connecticut Sun improved to 5-1 with a 89-84 win against the Minnesota Lynx.
The Lynx now have a record of 0-6 and haven’t won a game this season. The Sun meanwhile gained the seventh win of the Coach Stephanie White era as this is Coach White’s first season.
Natisha Hiedeman would score 19 points in the win which lead all Suns scorers. Hiedeman would also score 6 assists.
Alyssa Thomas would score 16 points to go along with 16 assists which is tied for the second most in WNBA history. Thomas would also set a franchise record for the Connecticut Sun in assists.
DeWanna Bonner would also make history with her 13 point performance as Bonner would pass Lisa Leslie for 11th all time on the WNBA scoring list.
Bonner would also have 5 rebounds and 2 assists to go along with her 13 points.
Former Sixth Woman of the Year Brionna Jones would score 12 points to help the Sun in the win.
For Minnesota Naphessa Collier would score 30 points leading all scorers. Collier would also add 4 assists to go with the 30 points.
Kayla McBride and Tiffany Mitchell would each score 12 points as the second and third highest scorers for the Lynx in the loss.
Jessica Shepard would have a double double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Shepard would also dish out 4 assists.
The Connecticut Sun return to action on their home floor Sunday against the Dallas Wings with tip off schedule for 1:00 PM
