The Connecticut Sun would begin their Preseason against the New York Liberty in Mohegan Sun.
The Stephanie White Era in Connecticut started with a 63-57 win. Coach White is now 1-0 in games with the Sun.
Brionna Jones would lead all Sun Scorers with 10 points in 18 minutes of play.
Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Rebecca Allen would each score 9 points being the second and third highest scorers for Connecticut.
Sika Kone would lead the Liberty in scoring with 10 points in 11 minutes of play.
Both teams would see stars sit out for rest with Breanna Stewart and the former Sun Jonquel Jones for the Liberty and Dewanna Bonner for the Sun.
Sun Rookies Alexis Morris, Diamond Battles, and Ashton Pretchel would all see their first pro experience in this preseason game.
Pretchel would see 14 minutes of action scoring 3 points in that time.
Morris and Battles would each score two points in eight and six minutes respectively.
The Sun now hold a 1-0 record and will face the Atlanta Dream on Sunday with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 PM EST.
