The Connecticut Sun have announced that Joyner Holmes has signed a training camp contract to return to the team for the 2023 season. This will be her third season with the team. She has played a total of 26 games in those three seasons with Connecticut.
“We are delighted to welcome Joyner back. We’re looking forward to what her experience and growth can bring this upcoming season.” Sun general manager Darius Taylor said in a press released from the team.
Holmes had a career game against the Atlanta Dream last June as she recorded nine points and three steals in a victory. She is currently playing overseas, where she is averaging 17.2 points per game and 9.5 rebounds in the Italian League Club.
The Sun begin their 2023 campaign on May 19 as they travel to Indiana to take on the Fever. Their home opener will be played at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on May 21.
