Officer Michael Hinton joined the New Haven, Connecticut Police Department in 2014. He was a dedicated husband and father of two.
On Sunday, Officer Hinton died after battling cancer for more than a year.
In a statement the New Haven Police Department said “Officer Hinton inspired us all with his unwavering positive spirit and selfless dedication to his work and family.”
