Wednesday night the Boston Celtics hosted the Philadelphia 76ers to kick off their 2022-23 season at home, at the TD Garden with a 126-117 win.
Marcus Smart made the first bucket of the game and for the season, a thirteen-foot two point shot to put the Celtics on top 0-2. Jayson Tatum got the second bucket, assisted by Marcus Smart, making a 24-foot three point jumper.
Tatum helped lead the Celtics to their season opener win with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Jaylen Brown, also had 35 points for the night. Brogdon had 16 points, Grant Williams had 15 and Marcus Smart had 14 points for the night.
Celtics will be back in action on Friday night against the Miami Heat at the FTX Center in Miami.
