Holy Cross Saturday beat Harvard 30-21, and are now 5-0. Matthew Sluka got the first touchdown of the game and the kick by Derek Ng was good to put Holy Cross on top 7-0. But with 4:46 on the clock in the first quarter, Aidan Borguet got the first touchdown for Harvard to make this a 7-7 game.
Harvard, with 5:52 on the clock in the second quarter got a touchdown with Aidan Borguet, his second of the game and the kick by Jonah Lipel was good to put Harvard on top 7-14. But not for long would Harvard keep the lead with Matthew Sluka connecting with Ayir Asante to get the second touchdown for the Crusaders. The kick by Derek Ng was good to make it a 14-14 game. However, the second quarter came down to 1:35 on the clock and Derek Ng made a 25 yards field goal to put the Crusaders on top 17-14.
In the third quarter with just 11:37 on the clock Matthew Sluka connected with Jalen Coker to get another Crusaders touchdown. The kick by Derek Ng Kick was good to put the Crusaders on top 24-14. With 8:32 on the clock in the third Charlie Dean connected with Kym Wimberly to get a touchdown for Harvard. The kick by Jonah Lipel was good to make it a 24-21 Crusaders lead.
In the fourth quarter Ng Kick made a 27 yards field goal and a 49 yards field goal to help get the Crusaders their fifth consecutive win (30-21) to start the 2022 season.
