After snapping their four-game losing streak Thursday night with a 5-3 win, the Worcester Red Sox dropped game four against the RailRiders with an 8-2 loss.
Going into the top of the third it was a 0-7 RailRiders lead. Kole Cottam and Nick Sogard both got over the plate to get Worcester into the game and make it a 2-7 ballgame. The RailRiders got one run in at the bottom of the eighth to make it an 8-2 ballgame.
Worcester and the RailRiders will play two more games in this six-game set, Saturday at 6:05 PM and Sunday at 1:05 PM.
Worcester has just eleven games remaining for this season, six at home against the Syracuse Mets (Sep. 20 – Sep. 25), this Saturday and Sunday against the RailRiders and then three against the Rochester Red Wings (Sep. 26 – Sep. 28).
As the Worcester Red Sox return home for their final homestand of the 2022 season at Polar Park, they’ll wrap up the season by celebrating “Fan Appreciation Week.”
