WooSox Add Jeurys Familia To Their Roster And Yard Goats Add High-A Zac Veen

Worcester Red Sox and the Hartford Yard Goats both announced new additions to their rosters. 

Jeurys Familia will be joining Worcester as they kick off a six-game set against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (AAA-Yankees) down in Scranton. Zac Veen has jumped from High-A  Spokane to the Hartford Yard Goats as they kick off their six-game set against the Somerset Patriots (AA-Yankees) in New Jersey. 

Jeurys Familia, 32-years-old, has spent 11 seasons in the Major Leagues, mostly with the New York Mets. He was with the Phillies this season but was released on Saturday.

Zac Veen, who is in the lineup tonight is listed by MLB.com as the Rockies #1 prospect and was the top pick for Colorado in the 2020 draft (9th overall).
