At Gillette Stadium Tuesday, the New England Patriots are gearing up for their 2022 preseason opener on Thursday Against the New York Giants. Mac Jones told the media today “I think we’re close on a lot of things. It’s just that two percent that we need to fix.” At times during practices it seems like Mac has gotten just a little frustrated and everyone has been picking up on this, even Mac says, “I care a lot about the guys around me and when I don’t produce, or we don’t produce together, sometimes it’s a little frustrating for whatever reason. It takes 11 people and if one guy doesn’t do his job, me included, then the play doesn’t work. So, we’re trying to get 11 people to do it right and do it right more consistently.” Thursday’s meeting with the Giants, is the 31st time in the preseason and 17th straight year these two teams have met. As for Bill Belichick, he was asked Tuesday about his level of confidence that his guys will be able to execute consistently in an actual game scenario on Thursday and he said, “We’ll find out Thursday. Some of these guys have never played a game in the National Football League or for us. So I don’t know. We’ll see.”
