By Tiffany Williams –

Wednesday night back in downtown Worcester the WooSox hosted the Railriders for game two of a six-game homestand. This is the eighth game at home to start May for the WooSox who on Monday night snapped their losing streak and claimed a 4-3 win.

Brayan Bello, who was just called up to Worcester Tuesday from the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox double-A), also turned 23 on Tuesday and what a birthday gift to make his triple-A debut for Worcester Wednesday night. Bello went six innings, threw 94 pitches (64 strikes), allowed six hits, two runs and had ten strikeouts.

The first two innings went scoreless and then at the top of the third Estevan Florial hit his fourth homer of the season for the Railriders. In the bottom of the third Jarren Duran hit his third homer of the season to get Worcester into this game. At the top of the fourth Phillip Evan hit a double to drive in Greg Bird for the Railriders to take the lead 2-1 but in the bottom of the sixth Worcester took the lead of this contest with Rob Refsnyder, Christin Stewart and Connor Wong scoring. In the bottom of the seventh Ryan Fitzgerald hit his ninth homer of the season to make it a 2-5 Worcester game.
