Just before 11:00 Sunday morning Boston Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Deering Road in Mattapan.
Upon arrival firefighters observed heavy fire on the rear porches and in the attic. At one point all companies were ordered off the third floor rear porches as the fire had burned through.
Boston Fire Department confirmed that 2 adults and 2 children were transported by EMS to area hospitals.
7 adults and 10 children have been displaced by the fire and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross of Massachusetts to find housing.
