MBTA Transit Police in Boston is investigating a shooting incident at Ruggles Station.
At approximately 6:19 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired and upon arrival located one adult male in the lower busway who was shot.
The male was transported to Boston Medical Center to be treated for a serious but non life threatening injuries.
Multiple witnesses reported hearing five to six gunshots and also reported seeing the suspect running and shooting at the victim until he fell to the ground.
Multiple Boston Police Officer’s from district four responded as well to assist Transit Police.
At this time Transit Police have not made any arrests and detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
