Friday night in Rochester, the Worcester Red Sox were looking to claim their fourth straight win in this six game series and they got it, with a 4-2 win.
At the top of the first, Johan Mieses hit a sac fly and was out but got an RBI (Franchy Cordero) to make it a 1-0, Worcester lead.
At the top of the third, Joey Meneses hit a sac fly and was out but got an RBI (Tate Matheny) to make it a 2-0, Worcester lead.
Also, at the top of the third, Franchy Cordero hit a single and got two RBI (Grant Williams and Jeremy Rivera) to make it a 4-0, Worcester lead.
Rochester went five scoreless innings and then in the bottom of the 5th, Blake Swihart hit his 5th homer of the season to make it a 4-1, Worcester lead.
In the bottom of the 9th, Daniel Palka scored to make it a 4-2, Worcester game.
With bases loaded, Victor Robles hit a pop up and it was caught by Jeremy Rivera to get the out, save and put this game to bed with the win for the WooSox.
