Coronavirus continues to hit the Boston Red Sox and hard. The latest player to test positive is infielder Yairo Munoz who was just recently called up from the Worcester Red Sox.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed Munoz tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday morning.
Munoz is now the seventh player too test positive for COVID-19 since last Friday.
Enrique Hernandez, Christian Arroyo, Matt Barnes, Martin Perez, Hirokazu Sawamura, Xander Bogaerts have also tested positive.
Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom said, “Overall we’re optimistic that everybody’s going pull through here without long-term concerns, but obviously we don’t know that for sure until everybody is through it.”
