Bullet Bob Feller once said, “Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is.”

If you look at the Worcester Red Sox the last couple months and then look at them these past couple of games, then you will understand why I started with this quote by Bullet Bob Feller.

Thursday night, the Worcester Red Sox who have won their past three games were looking for their fourth straight win. What they set out to do, they did, beating the Buffalo Bisons 8-5, claiming four straight wins.

Wednesday night was the Yairo Munoz show in Buffalo and Thursday night was the Johan Mieses show in Buffalo.

At the top of the first Jack Lopez scored and then Johan Mieses hit a homer and got two RBI (Franchy Cordero and Joey Meneses) to make it a 4-0, Worcester lead.

Buffalo tied it up 4-4 in the bottom of the second. Cullen Large hit a homer and got an RBI (Christian Colon). Then Juan Graterol and Logan Warmoth both scored.

At the top of the third, Jeter Downs hit a double and got an RBI (Franchy Cordero) to make it a 5-4, Worcester lead.

At the top of the fifth, Johan Mieses did it again, hit his second homer of the game and 6th for the season to make it a 6-4, Worcester lead.

At the top of the sixth, Jhonny Pereda scored to make it a 7-4, Worcester lead.

At the top of the nineth, Franchy Cordero scored to make it an 8-4, Worcester lead.

In the bottom of the nineth, Forrest Wall scored for Buffalo to make it an 8-5, Worcester game.

Worcester and Buffalo will meet again Friday night for game 4 of this six game series in Buffalo.

Friday night, Worcester will be looking to claim their 5th straight win. Buffalo will be looking Friday night to snap Worcesters winning streak.
