Worcester Red Sox Beat Rochester Red Wings 3-1

Thursday night, the WooSox were back at Polar Park for game three of six against the Rochester Red Wings. 

After losing the first two games of this homestand, the WooSox needed to find what was wrong, fix it and come back tonight and hopefully get a win and they did get that win they needed.

In the bottom of the first, Michael Chavis scored to get the WooSox on the board, 1-0.

In the bottom of the sixth, Marcus Wilson hit a homer to make it a 2-0 Worcester game. Also bottom of the sixth, Franchy Cordero scored to make it a 3-0 game.

In the top of the nineth, Alec Keller scored to get Rochester on the board and make it a 3-1 Worcester lead.

The final at Polar Park was Worcester 3 and Rochester 1.

6,417 fans were in the stands for Thursday night’s game.
