Tuesday night the WooSox played the Rochester Red Wings in game one of a six game homestand.
The WooSox have won four of their last six games on the road. For this season, they’ve won 15 of their past 23 games.
At the top of the third, Cody Wilson scored to get Rochester on the board 1-0. In the bottom of the fourth, Marcus Wilson got a homer to get the WooSox on the board and make it a 1-1 game. In the top of the sixth, Carter Kieboom hit a homer and batted in Cody Wilson, Rafael Bautista and Luis Garcia to make it a 5-1 game for the Rochester Red Wings. In the bottom of the sixth, Josh Ockimey hit a homer for the WooSox to make it a 5-2 Rochester game. Also, bottom of the sixth for the WooSox, Michael Chavis scored to make it a 5-3 Rochester game. Chris Herrmann, in the bottom of the seventh hit a homer for the WooSox to make it a 5-4 Rochester game. In the top of the eigth, Carter Kieboom scored for Rochester to make it a 6-4 Rochester game.
The final score at Polar Park was Worcester 4 and Rochester 6.
The WooSox were allowed to open up to 100% capacity and 6,422 people attended Tuesday night.
The WooSox and the Red Wings will meet again Wednesday night again at Polar Park at 6:35 PM.
