Saint Vincent Hospital announced that their Chief of Medicine, George M. Abraham, MD, MPH, FACP, FIDSA, has been named President of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Abraham, in addition to being the Chief of Medicine at Saint Vincent is also a Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and has served a term as President of the Medical staff at the hospital.
Before being selected as President of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Abraham served as Chair of American College of Physicians Board of Governors and as Governor of American College of Physicians Massachusetts Chapter.
The American College of Physicians represents 163,000 internal medicine physicians (internists), related subspecialists, and medical students.
