Springfield Police Execute Search Warrant At Longhill Rd. Home And Arrest 1 Person

Detectives assigned to the Springfield Police Narcotics Bureau, on Thursday arrested Bryan Shannahan, 31, of Springfield.

The Narcotics Bureau during an investigation of a home on Longhill Rd. determined that crack-cocaine was being distributed from the home. They also determined that Shannahan was the target of their investigation.

At about 5:00 p.m. on Thursday the Narcotics Bureau executed a search warrant of the home on Longhill Rd. and during their search they recovered a loaded firearm, 15 rounds of ammunition, around 3.5 grams of crack-cocaine, a bag of mushrooms and $1,200 cash.

Shannahan was arrested and he has been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, firearm violation with 1 prior violent/drug crime, improper storage of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute a class B drug and possession with intent to distribute a class c drug.
