On Sunday just before 9:30 p.m., officers assigned to the Operations Division with the Worcester Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Greenwood Street and Forsberg Street.
Upon arrival officers along with Worcester Fire and Worcester EMS located a 31-year-old male suffering from serious injuries and a 25-year-old female also suffering from serious injuries.
Both were transported to an area hospital to be treated.
The Crash Recon Unit responded to the area to investigate and determine the cause of the accident.
The initial investigation determined that the 31-year-old male was operating a stolen 2008 Lexus on Greenwood Street when he crossed over the double solid line and began traveling in the northbound travel lane.
The 25-year-old female was operating a Hyundai Sonata on Greenwood Street in the Northbound lane when the 31-year-old male crashed into her.
Worcester Police say that charges against the 31-year-old male are pending.
