Warwick, RI – A North Providence man was arrested late Friday night on DUI-related charges after troopers located a vehicle that had been the subject of a law enforcement alert.
Rhode Island State Police state that at 10:50 p.m., troopers identified and stopped a vehicle on Airport Connector Road in Warwick that matched the description of a BOLO alert.
Lenus Nixon, 42, of North Providence, was arrested and charged with DUI-Liquor/Drugs-BAC Unknown-First Offense, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-First Offense.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace. Later, he was released into custody of a responsible adult pending a future appearance in Third District Court.
Nixon is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
