FRAMINGHAM, MASS. — Two Framingham police officers who had been sidelined amid a misconduct probe are now off the force, their careers ending quietly after investigators concluded department rules and policies were violated.
The Framingham Police Department confirmed Friday that the officers were removed following an internal affairs investigation. The department offered no timeline for when the officers were let go and refused to identify them.
What is known is stark: the alleged misconduct rose to the level of policy violations serious enough to cost two officers their badges.
Police said they previously referred the matter to both the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, but declined to provide any update on the status of those investigations.
Officials have released few details about the underlying allegations, saying only that the misconduct could have involved health and wellness concerns.
No criminal charges have been filed.
The silence surrounding the case has left major questions unanswered — what happened, how long it went on, and whether the officers could face further consequences outside the department.
For now, the department says only this much is clear: the rules were broken, and two officers are no longer wearing the uniform.
