LYNDONVILLE, Vt. — A Vermont man with a prior record for drunken driving is facing yet another DUI charge after state troopers stopped him late Saturday night in Lyndonville, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were on routine patrol at about 10:36 p.m. when they observed a motor vehicle violation near the intersection of Depot Street and Hill Street. The stop quickly escalated.
Police identified the driver as Joshua McNally, 35, of Lyndonville. As troopers spoke with him, they detected indicators of impairment, authorities said. McNally was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
State police confirmed McNally was charged with DUI #3, a serious offense that reflects multiple prior drunk driving incidents.
After processing, McNally was issued a citation and released. He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Feb. 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The case remains pending in court.
