Boston Celtics Hold On To Defeat Chicago Bulls 124-113

By Zachary McMahon –

The Boston Celtics faced the Chicago Bulls in the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night. The Celtics entered the game on a eight game winning streak, while the Bulls had lost their last game against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.

The Celtics had won their two other matchups against the Bulls this season with victories on Feb. 22 and Nov. 28.

Jalen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis were both out with injuries. Brown had a sprained right ankle while Porzingis had a right hamstring injury. Jrue Holiday is also out for the third straight game with a shoulder injury.

In their place, Luke Kornet and Sam Hauser both started the game, while both Al Horford and Jayson Tatum are back after missing last night’s game against the Detroit Pistons.

Boston would score nine straight points in the fourth quarter after Chicago’s Dalen Terry threw in a monstrous dunk that made the Bulls take a 92-91 lead. It would be Hauser who capped off this run with one of his seven three pointers. The Celtics would hold on to the lead to win it 124-113.

Tatum led the Celtics with 26 points, followed by Al Horford and Hauser both having 23 points. Derrick White also had 17 points, and Peyton Pritchard scored 15 off the bench, and led the team in assists with eight.

Meanwhile, Kornet lead the team in rebounds with 13, which ties his career-high for most rebounds in a game from when he was on the New York Knicks on April 9, when they also faced the Bulls.
