Boston Police Make Multiple Firearms Arrests Over The Weekend

The first arrest was around 7:13 pm Friday night. Boston Police and Mass State Police conducted a firearm investigation which led to the arrest of Tanaily Pinero, 22, of Roxbury, and Tyreek Woodley, 23, of Dorchester, on assault charges at the intersection of Washington Street and Summer Street. Boston Police said “Based on information gathered from an ongoing firearm and fugitive investigation, officers were aware that Tanaily Pinero was currently in possession of a black semi-automatic firearm and had several felony warrants for her arrest.  Officers were also aware that the subject of the investigation, Tanaily Pinero, was currently in the Downtown Crossing Area of Boston.” Officers arrived in the Downtown Crossing area and located Pinero, walking in the area of Winter Street with Tyreek Woodley and another female. When Pinero and Woodley saw the officers, they attempted to flee on foot but were stopped by Officers.  Pinero, Boston Police said “Refused commands to comply and continued holding onto a baby stroller, eventually knocking it over.  Officers were able to take Pinero into custody without further incident.  Officers requested EMS as a precaution, who evaluated the child on the scene and determined there were no injuries.” As for Woodley, Boston Police say “Woodley began yelling and kicking while attempting to flee from officers while in handcuffs.  It should be noted that this immediately drew attention to the public and obstructed pedestrians from walking on the footpath in the Downtown Crossing Area.” Officers recovered a Glock 45 from a black fanny pack around Pinero’s chest. The firearm had one round in the chamber and sixteen 9mm rounds in the magazine. Woodley is charged with Disturbing the Peace, Resisting arrest, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Pinero is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.

About three hours later, at 9:55 PM, Officers assigned to District D4 while in the area of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Albany Street “Observed a vehicle make an unsafe lane change, and accelerate at a speed. Officers additionally observed the vehicle to have excessive window tint.  Officers conducted a traffic stop and, upon speaking with the operator, identified as Jonathan Lopez, made several observations that led them to believe that Lopez was in possession of a firearm,” Boston Police said. Lopez, 25, of Boston, followed officers’ verbal commands to exit the vehicle and, on a subsequent frisk of the vehicle, recovered a loaded firearm, a quantity of marijuana, and a quantity of US currency. Boston Police say “The firearm was a Glock 9mm with one (1) round in the chamber and nine (9) rounds in the magazine.  Officers additionally recovered a separate magazine loaded with five (5) rounds of ammunition.” Lopez is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a loaded firearm, and Distribution of Class D (Marijuana).

On Saturday at about 12:58 PM, based on information from an ongoing firearm investigation, Boston Police arrested Jacques Flowers, 34, of Roxbury in the area of Washington Street and Ruggles Street in Roxbury. After stopping Flowers, Officers performed a pat frisk, leading to the recovery of a loaded .25 caliber Raven Arms P-25 handgun from inside Flowers pocket. Flowers is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd and Subsequent Offense), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (Subsequent Offense), Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Armed Career Criminal (Level 3) and Habitual Criminal – Penalty Enhancement.

Saturday night at about 7:34 PM, Boston Police arrested Marc Serrano, 28, of Dorchester. For Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. Serrano was wanted on a straight felony warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for Aggravated Assault and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Officers were able to locate Serrano in the area of 46 Columbia Road in Dorchester. During the arrest, officers recovered a Norma 9mm Luger with one round in the chamber and twenty-four rounds in the magazine.

Early Sunday morning, at about 1:18 AM, Boston Police arrested Marcus Beauchamp, 28, of Walpole in the area of 1 Oxford Place in Chinatown. Salvant is charged with; Carrying a Loaded Firearm while Unlicensed, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Class B, Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Class D, Drugs, Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
