Worcester – At approximately 12:40 a.m. on March 31, 2026, Worcester Police officers observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in the area of Main Street and Oread Place.

Officers approached a female involved in the exchange, who handed over a knotted bag containing a hard white substance believed to be crack cocaine. She was subsequently charged with possession of a Class B substance.

Officers then located the male involved on nearby King Street. During a search, police recovered four knotted bags of suspected crack cocaine and three knotted bags of suspected fentanyl.

The male, identified as 25-year-old Dangelo Aponte, was taken into custody without incident. He is facing multiple charges, including distribution of a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (crack cocaine), and possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (fentanyl).

The investigation remains ongoing.
