Rhode Island – At 3:00 pm. On Feb 27, the Rhode Island State Police Special Victims Unit arrested Peter Mundowa, 38, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, for failing to register as a sex offender.

An investigation leading to his arrest was conducted by the Special Victims Unit. Mindowa was taken into custody, processed at the Rhode Island State Police Headquarters, and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. He was transported to an Adult Correctional Facility, where he is being held pending a presentation as a Providence Superior Court probation violator.

He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
