Worcester: Officers John Alers and Angela Lockwhy spent part of their day giving back to the community by volunteering at El Buen Samaritano on Feb 26.

The officers assisted staff and volunteers with organizing and preparing food orders that will be distributed to local families in need. From sorting items to assembling packages, they work side by side with community members to help ensure the food pantry runs smoothly and efficiently.

Their participation highlights the ongoing commitment law enforcement officers have beyond their regular patrol duties. By supporting local organizations like El Buen Samaritano, Officers Alers and Lockwhy helped strengthen connections within the community and provide meaningful assistance to residents facing food insecurity.

Efforts like these demonstrate how partnerships between public safety agencies and community organizations can make a positive and lasting impact.
