Shrewsbury, Massachusetts residents reported widespread power outages late Monday night, leaving parts of town in the dark as temperatures dropped.

The outage began around 11:00 p.m. Monday. As of 12 a.m. Tuesday, power had not been restored.

Affected areas reportedly include the Edgemere neighborhood, South Quinsigamond Avenue, sections of Route 20 near the Westborough line, and Route 9 near South Street.

NewsTalk New England reached out to SELCO and the Shrewsbury Police Department but had not heard back.

Overnight temperatures in Shrewsbury were expected to be in the teens, with a real feel around 3 degrees.
