HBO and NFL Films will release two different editions of the widely popular series, Hard Knocks, both streaming on HBO Max. One of them, Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills, debuts on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. It will be a five-part series with new episodes coming out on every following Tuesday through Sept. 2. The second edition, Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East, debuts this upcoming December.
Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills will be the first time that the team will be featured on the show. The series will highlight the training camp of 2024 NFL MVP quarterback Josh Allen, head coach Sean McDermott, who has led the Bills to the playoffs in seven of his first eight seasons as head coach, general manager Brandon Beane, and many others. Roster battles/cuts, rookies/new players, relationships between players and coaches, preseason games, locker room content, and team meetings are among the topics that will be shown.
Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East will debut in December, bringing exclusive, behind-the-scenes attention to the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders, and reigning Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles. Viewers will get an in-depth look at leadership within the teams, coaching strategies, injuries, and exclusive mic’d up audio on the field. The series will focus on some of the biggest names and best players in the NFC East division. Some players include Cowboys’ Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, the Giants’ Russell Wilson and Malik Nabers, Commanders’ Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin, and Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley of the Eagles. The NFC East series will be the second time an entire division is featured in the show, as Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North was released in December of 2024.
HBO and NFL Films recently made an agreement to continue working with each other for many years in the future.
“There aren’t many shows in history that have had a successful 25-year run,” said Ross Ketover, NFL Films senior executive. “We are thrilled that the partnership between NFL Films and HBO – which has captivated football fans for so long – will continue years into the future.”
