Back at Mohegan Sun the Sun found themselves playing an opponent with the exact opposite beginning to the season as the Washington Mystics came to town with a 0-8 record to begin the season.

But Coach Stephanie White wasn’t about to count the Mystics out due to their record saying pregame “They are looking to get over the hump.”

Aaliyah Edwards returning to the state where she played college basketball once again led the Mystics with 10 points at halftime. The rookie had 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

Coming out of the half the Sun would start to pull away going on a 10-2 run to open up the second half. By the end of the third quarter Connecticut outscored Washington 26-10 giving them a 15 point lead.
