A suspect in a deadly assault at a Domino’s Pizza in Manchester, New Hampshire, is in custody and is back in Manchester.
Akim Alleyne, 36, who allegedly assaulted and killed Te-Jay Thomas, 46, of Manchester on December 7, 2023, was arrested in Richmond, Virginia in late December, and brought back to Manchester on January 4, 2024.
Witnesses told police Thomas and Alleyne were arguing near the Domino’s Pizza at 212 Lowell Street, and during that argument, Alleyne knocked Thomas down and assaulted him on the sidewalk.
Alleyne fled the scene before Manchester Police arrived.
Manchester Police said when officers arrived, they located Thomas, who was unconscious on the sidewalk, and immediately began to give him medical aid
Thomas was transported to Elliot Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
On December 8, 2023, an autopsy was conducted by New Hampshire Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg, and he concluded that the cause of Mr. Thomas’ death was blunt force trauma to the head and neck, and the manner of his death was homicide.
Alleyne is charged with Manslaughter and Habitual Offender.
At the time of his arrest, Alleyne also had warrants for burglary and Stalking stemming from an October incident.
Alleyne is currently on probation for a burglary that occurred in June.
