Providence 72 v. Wisconsin 59
At the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, RI, Tuesday night, the Friars hosted Wisconsin, and with a 59-72 win, the Friars are now 3-0 to start the season. Devin Carter led the Friars with 21 points on the board, eight rebounds, and one assist. Carter recorded his sixth game of his career with 20 or more points.
UConn 87 v. Miss Valley State 53
At the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, the Huskies extend their winning streak to 3-0 with an 87-53 win Tuesday night against Mississippi Valley State. Cam Spencer of Davidsonville, Md., who spent last season at Rutgers and the three previous seasons at Loyola-Maryland had his best night to start the season with 25 points on the board, one offensive rebound, one defensive rebound, and four assist. Spencer scored 19 of his 25 points in the first half, knocking down five 3-pointers in the opening stanza. Clingan, Karaban, Ball, and Newton finished Tuesday night in double-figures. UConn finished 11-of-28 from the 3-point range and held MVSU to a 1-for-9 effort.
Rhode Island 69 v. Wagner 53
In Kingston, Rhode Island, the Rams grabbed their third straight win Tuesday night, beating Wagner 69-53 at the Ryan Center. The last time the Rams started a season 3-0 was 2021-22 against Boston University, Bryant, and Boston College. Zek Montgomery finished Tuesday night becoming the second player this season to post a double-double, turning in 13 points to go along with a career-high 11 rebounds and was 6-of-9 from the field to go with six assists in 37 minutes. Jeremy Foumena finished Tuesday night with a career-best 16 points, had four highlight-reel dunks, and corralled seven boards. Jaden House had 15 points and four rebounds, while Luis Kortright added 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. The Rams finished the night with a 48-16 edge in points in the paint.
Northeastern 56 v. Harvard 80
In Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard hosted Northeastern to grab their third straight win. Malik Mack recorded a game-high 22 points on 9-of-11 field goals and 4-of-5 3-pointers alongside six rebounds and three assists. Chisom Okpara finished with 14 points and four rebounds, scoring in double figures for the second time in as many games played this season and for the 11th time in his career. In the first 12:44 of the second half, the Crimson limited the Huskies to five points, outscoring Northeastern 29-5 during that stretch.
New Hampshire 82 v. Brown 64
In Durham, New Hampshire, Tuesday night, UNH topped Brown with an 82-64 win at the Lundholm Gymnasium. UNH had three players in double digits: Daniels (36), Robinson (17), and Baker (14) and UNH out blocked the Bears, 5-3. Jaxson Baker had four blocks and ten points in the first half.
Boston University 53 v. Howard 64
At the Burr Gymnasium in Washington, DC, Boston University was topped by Howard in a 53-64 loss for BU to now own three straight losses to start the season. This was a tightly-contested matchup with 17 lead changes, and 12 of those lead changes came in just the first half. After shooting 4-of-9 3FG (.444) in the first half, BU only went 2-of-14 (.143) during the second.
