A day after Nicholas John Roske, 26, of Simi Valley, California was indicted by a federal grand jury attempting to murder a Justice of the United States, President Joe Biden signed a bill giving around-the-clock security protection to the families of Supreme Court justices.
Prosecutors say Roske, who was carrying a gun, knife and zip ties traveled from California to Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with the intent of killing Kavanaugh.
The new law passed the Senate last month and only passed the House this week before going to the President.
