PBR returned to Worcester Saturday night before a sold out crowd at the DCU Center. Casey Coulter of Kirksville, Missouri was the only rider to go a perfect 2-for-2 and win the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s Worcester Rumble.
For 31-year-old Coulter, Saturday night was a career-first victory on the organization’s expansion series. In round one he registered a qualified ride aboard Fort Down, reaching the requisite 8 for 84.5 points. In the final round, Coulter aboard Crazed Addiction reached another 84.5-point score.
Coulter also earned a critical 38 world points. Attempting to qualify for the first PBR World Finals of his career at season’s end, Coulter surged 21 positions in the rankings, climbing from No. 58 to No. 37.
Fernando Henrique Novais of Pereira Barreto, Brazil was second Saturday night, netting 27 world points and earning 86.5 points In round one. In the championship round, Novais was brought down in a heartbreaking 7.01 seconds by Game Day.
Third Saturday night was Tye Chandler of Celina, Texas who was fresh off his Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour victory last weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The 2022 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour season continues March 5 in both Hampton, Virginia, and Charleston, West Virginia.
Action for both the PBR Hampton Classic at the Hampton Coliseum and the PBR Capital City Classic at Charleston Civic Center begin at 7 p.m. EST.
