Wednesday night, game three in Rochester and the Worcester Red Sox claimed a 10-2 victory and their third straight win against Rochester, in this six game series.
In the bottom of the first, Nick Banks and Daniel Palka both scored to make it a 0-2, Rochester lead.
Worcester went four scoreless innings, then at the top of the fourth they came alive. Grant Williams hit his first triple for the season and got three RBI (Franchy Cordero, Josh Ockimey and Jhonny Pereda) to make it a 3-2, Worcester lead.
At the top of the seventh, Franchy Cordero hit his seventh homer of the season to make it a 4-2, Worcester lead.
In the top of the 8th, that is when Worcester really took over this game. Or as they say once they get rolling they keep on rolling. First, Grant Williams scored to make it a 5-2, Worcester lead.
Then Josh Ockimey hit a single and got two RBI (Chad De La Guerra and Joey Meneses) to make it a 7-2, Worcester lead.
Top of the 8th kept on rolling with Johan Mieses hitting a single and getting an RBI (Franchy Cordero) to make it an 8-2, Worcester lead.
At the top of the 9th, Franchy Cordero hit a single and got two RBI (Chad De La Guerra and Jeremy Rivera) to make it a 10-2, Worcester game.
