The Boston Bruins played the Florida Panthers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals in Boston, as the Bruins came into the game on the cusp of elimination with a loss as they survived with a win in Game 5 in Florida.

Brad Marchand came back after missing the last two games with an injury that is believed to be a concussion.

The Bruins took the lead with a minute left in the first period when a backhanded no-look pass from Jake DeBrusk to Pavel Zacha who went on a breakaway to score the goal.

Then in the second period, Anton Lundell of the Panthers tied the game up at one with seven minutes left in the period with his second goal of the series and this postseason.

With a minute left in the third period, Gustav Forslung scored the game-winning goal which was set up by Lundell, and the Panthers shut down the Bruins for the rest of the way, so that the Panthers could eliminate the Bruins in Boston for the second straight postseason, with the score of 2-1.

Jeremy Swayman had 26 saves on 28 shots, as he tried everything he could to save the Bruin’s season but he led up that goal in the late period to lose the game.

The Panthers will be facing the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals with Game 1 on Wednesday.
