Authorities in Worcester, Massachusetts are currently investigating a tragic incident involving a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday evening in the Belmont Hill section of the city.
As per reports, around 4:15 PM, the Worcester police department was informed of a possible shooting victim in the lower Belmont St neighborhood. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a fourteen-year-old victim inside an apartment with a serious gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
The Worcester Police Department has informed that a sixteen-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with this incident. However, the investigation is still ongoing, and the police department is appealing to the public for any information that can help in the case.
