Brockton, Mass. — A 50-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday after being shot in the legs during an afternoon attack in Brockton.

Police say they were called to 466 Main Street around 4:27 p.m. for an assault involving a dangerous weapon. Responding officers found the victim suffering gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, and authorities report his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
