PROVIDENCE, R.I. — It was a relentless 48 hours across the Ocean State as the Rhode Island State Police and multiple task forces fanned out on fraud, drugs, domestic violence and DUI charges, racking up arrests from Warwick to Providence.
In Warwick, Murielle Fevry, 43, was arrested at her Hayley Road home on charges including Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation Over 10,000 Assistance, Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance Over 500, Fraudulent Use of Food Stamps Over 500, False Statement to Obtain Replacement Public Assistance Check Over 500, and Giving False Document to Agent, Employee, or Public Official. Troopers transported her to the Wickford Barracks before arraignment in Third District Court.
In Exeter, a motor vehicle accident on South County Trail led to the arrest of Robert S. Ferioli, 66, of Charlestown. He faces charges of Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs – B.A.C Unknown- First Offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. He was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a notice to appear in Fourth Division District Court.
Just hours later in West Warwick, Victoria Mangione, 42, was stopped on Main Street and arrested for Driving with a Suspended License – Special Circumstances. She was processed and released with a future Third District Court date.
Inside the Adult Correctional Institutions, the ACI Investigations Unit charged four men on Feb. 11. Jose Bottier Garcia, 29, of Providence, was charged with Domestic Violation of No Contact Order 1st Offense and remanded after $1,000 surety bail was set. Eric Rodevitz, 47, of North Smithfield, was charged with Domestic Violation of No Contact Order 3rd or Subsequent Offense, granted $10,000 personal recognizance and remanded. Christian Boria, 31, of Pawtucket, was charged with Simple Assault and remanded on $1,000 surety bail. Jomell Morales, 20, of Pawtucket, was charged with Domestic Violation of No Contact Order 1st Offense, granted $10,000 personal recognizance and remanded.
Meanwhile, members of the HIDTA Task Force, assisted by the DEA Providence District Office, arrested Michael Williams, 35, of Providence, on multiple felony drug and firearm charges including Possession with the Intent to Deliver Fentanyl and Cocaine, Controlled Substance Conspiracy, and Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation. He was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and held pending Sixth District Court arraignment.
Troy Johnson, 28, also of Providence, was arrested on similar fentanyl, cocaine, conspiracy and firearm charges — including two counts of Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation. He too was transported to the ACI Intake Center pending Sixth District Court arraignment.
The Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Clayton Frable, 59, of Middletown, on a Portsmouth Police warrant charging Threats to Public Officials and Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty. He was taken into custody without incident.
Late-night patrols produced more arrests. Marquel Gonzalez, 18, of Pawtucket, was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle after troopers tracked him to his residence. Oldyn Leonardo, 46, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, was arrested in Providence for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C Unknown – Second Offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. Leslie Perez, 28, of Providence, was arrested on a warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault following a traffic stop on Silver Spring Street.
From alleged public assistance fraud exceeding $10,000 to fentanyl trafficking and firearms violations, authorities say the message is unmistakable: whether it’s behind the wheel, behind a keyboard or behind closed doors, law enforcement is watching — and moving fast.
