Sunday’s men’s college basketball slate delivered sharp results and tight finishes, while several games were wiped off the board due to postponements.
South Florida took control at home, beating Florida Atlantic 89-75. Wes Enis scored 19 points for FAU, but USF answered with balance and pressure, led by Devin Vanterpool’s 22 points as the Bulls pulled away in the second half.
Washington shut down Oregon 72-57, holding the Ducks to limited scoring throughout the game. Zoom Diallo led Washington with 12 points, while Sean Stewart finished with 15 for Oregon in a loss marked by offensive struggles.
Mercer edged Charleston Southern 61-59 in a close, physical contest. Bernie Blunt III led Mercer with 19 points, while Doyel Cockrill III scored 13 for Charleston Southern as the game came down to the final possessions.
Southern California stunned Wisconsin 73-71 in a back-and-forth battle. Chad Baker-Mazara poured in 29 points for USC, matching Nick Boyd’s 29 for Wisconsin, but the Trojans executed late to secure the road win.
Saint Francis (PA) at New Haven, Purdue Fort Wayne at IU Indianapolis, and Southern Illinois at Evansville were all postponed, leaving three matchups unresolved as scheduling disruptions continued.
