A full slate of men’s college basketball on Tuesday delivered ranked matchups, overtime finishes and several lopsided results across the country as conference play continued to intensify.
Michigan pulled away from Indiana for an 86–72 win, led by Elliot Cadeau’s 19 points, while Tucker DeVries paced the Hoosiers with 15. UCLA edged Purdue 69–67 behind Donovan Dent’s 23 points, handing the Boilermakers a narrow road loss despite 16 points from C.J. Cox. Iowa State overwhelmed UCF 87–57 with Milan Momcilovic scoring 20, and Michigan State held Oregon to 52 points in a 68–52 victory as Carson Cooper led the Spartans with 19.
Texas Tech rolled past Baylor 92–73 behind Christian Anderson’s 26 points, while Arkansas dominated Vanderbilt 93–68 with Darius Acuff Jr. and Tyler Nickel each scoring 17. Florida handled LSU 79–61 as Urban Klavzar scored 18, and NC State needed overtime to outlast Clemson 80–76 with Ven-Allen Lubin finishing with 22 points.
Kansas earned a 75–69 road win at Colorado behind Melvin Council Jr.’s 18 points, while Georgia edged Missouri 74–72 as Marcus Millender scored 18. Saint Louis defeated Duquesne 81–77 with Dion Brown scoring 14, despite a 28-point effort from Jimmie Williams. Miami of Ohio posted a 107–101 overtime win over Kent State as Peter Suder and Rob Whaley Jr. each scored 27 for their respective teams.
Massachusetts edged Toledo 84–82 behind Leonardo Bettiol’s 20 points, and Morgan State delivered one of the night’s most decisive results, routing Virginia-Lynchburg 128–53 with Alfred Worrell Jr. scoring 23. Ohio State beat Minnesota 82–74 in overtime as John Mobley Jr. and Jaylen Crocker-Johnson each scored 26. Akron handled Buffalo 82–63 with Amani Lyles scoring 18.
South Carolina State defeated Maryland Eastern Shore 56–50, led by Owen Bronston Jr.’s 18 points. St. Bonaventure topped Loyola Chicago 84–70 behind Darryl Simmons II’s 26. St. John’s held off Seton Hall 65–60 with Dillon Mitchell scoring 17, while Florida State edged Miami 65–63 as Robert McCray V scored 20.
Ohio beat Northern Illinois 80–77 with Jackson Paveletzke scoring 23, Bowling Green defeated Western Michigan 72–54 behind Sam Towns’ 21, and Ball State edged Central Michigan 68–67 as Armoni Zeigler scored 17. South Carolina defeated Oklahoma 85–76 with Meechie Johnson scoring 20.
Butler beat DePaul 87–80 behind Finley Bizjack’s 24, UIC rolled past Evansville 76–49 with Elijah Crawford scoring 16, and TCU edged Oklahoma State 68–65 as David Punch scored 22. Iowa defeated Rutgers 68–62 behind Bennett Stirtz’s 20 points.
Boise State topped Wyoming 81–65 with Andrew Meadow scoring 21, Southeast Missouri State defeated UT Martin 66–50 as Luke Almodovar scored 22, and Kansas State edged Utah 81–78 in a high-scoring duel that saw P.J. Haggerty score 34 and Terrence Brown score 33. SMU beat Wake Forest 91–79 behind B.J. Edwards’ 24, Colorado State defeated Air Force 81–52, Auburn topped Ole Miss 78–66 with Keyshawn Hall scoring 19, Nevada routed San Jose State 87–54, and UNLV closed the night with an 86–76 win over Utah State as Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn and Mason Falslev each scored 21.
